CHEERS, CABIN ZERO !!!

My Military 28L backpack arrived today February 10 at 3:15 Pacific Coastal Time (sent January 29) Victoria, British Columbia. Look how fast you got it here. I have to say, it is everything I hoped for and more. My 2015 15.4 inch Macbook Pro Retina fits in the inner sleeve perfectly, but also in the outer zipped pocket, which is perfect for the TSA inspection, as this will keep it safe in there getting to the Airport. Then when inside, place it into the outer one where it is much easier to unload and load it in the TSA line. And, the size and proportions are just perfect. This bag is Brilliant, and just what the doctor ordered. Thank you, and everyone there. Regards with many thanks, Ted

Military 28L

Sac à dos utilisé pour un séjour de 5 jours. Bonne capacité de rangement, les sangles sont confortable, ne font pas mal aux épaules. A voir sur le long terme si le sac tient le coup.

There's lots to like.

I've only had the chance to take this on one casual trip to Hawaii so far but I'm really happy with my choice. I was looking for a pack that I could count on using as a personal item on future international flights so it needed to fit under the seat, which it did on this Southwest flight with no problem so I think I'll be ok. There are compression straps on the outside which could assist if needed. As a 5'4", 122 lb female, I found the backpack comfortable due to its top and bottom adjusters that helped distribute the weight and get the pack off of my lower back. There is also a nice amount of padding for the back (which doubles as padding for the laptop pouch on the inside). Beyond that, I was able to utilize a couple of compression cubes, the inner zippered pockets, and an electronics storage board with elastic bands in the outer zipper pocket to further distribute the weight in the pack. I supported the board by my raincoat underneath it to keep the heaviest item, the power bank, up higher. It's difficult to see in the website pictures but on the interior, there is an additional zippered pocket below the netted pocket that goes not quite to the bottom of the pack. They really did a good job in the design of this pack. The outside is made of a nylon material that feels more like a heavy canvas that holds it's shape. I was caught in a sudden downpour while in Hawaii while we were walking from the parking lot to the hotel and while that pack was wet on the outside by the time we got to the room, nothing was wet on the inside! There is somewhat of a protective material on the inside as well. The two zippers on the outside are somewhat hidden by design, which I really like. There is a flap which covers the zipper to get inside the pack. If you are in a situation on public transportation where you are concerned about pick pockets, you could protect your pack further by moving the two closing zippers to the spot under one of the top compression straps. I feel that's plenty of protection but if you felt you needed more, the zippers can be locked together through the matched holes. I used the laptop padded slot for a mini Ipad instead of a computer, which left room in the protected area for my jewelry. There is a metal "if found" tag with a website and id # which is a nice addition, but I wonder if it would be noticed because it is installed printed side down and might look like it is just another strap adjuster. If I were to do it again, I don't know if I'd choose the green. I don't like to stand out and it definitely looks military. I think I would choose the grey; it's not so dark that you can't see what's inside but not as light as the Desert Sand which I would think would show dirt pretty quickly. I found that I really like this pack for my intended use, which is to carry my electronics, personal items I don't want to put in my luggage (meds, jewelry, money & credit cards, documents), rain jacket, food for the plane, and two days worth of clothes & swim suit in case luggage is lost. I'm never going to be a one bag gal, mainly because that would require doing laundry in the room, which I tried on this Hawaii trip as a test and nothing dries fast enough when you are moving every couple of days which we usually do. But you could do it with this pack if you were strategic about what you packed and were staying put for a bit.
