The number of permitted carry-on bags, as well as the maximum size and weight, depends on the type of fare that the passenger is boarding, more specifically:
- Economy Light and Flex class passengers are not permitted to check in any bags for free;
- Economy ComfortFlex class passengers can check in 1 bag of up to 62 in / 158 cm in size and 50 lbs / 23 kg in weight;
- Business class passengers can check in up to 2 bags of up to 62 in / 158 cm in size and 70 lbs / 32 kg in weight;
- Passengers with Miles+ Bonus Gold or Star Alliance Gold pass can check in 1 additional bag with the same size and weight requirements.
Excess baggage is defined by Aegean Airlines as any baggage that exceeds the free checked or carry-on baggage allowance, and overweight baggage is defined as baggage that weighs more than 50 lbs / 23kg (or 66 lbs / 30kg depending on the allowance) and up to 70 lbs / 32kg.
